Catwalk Inspired Beauty - Beautiful Bold, Blue Eyes

Inspired by Julien Macdonald Spring 2019, we’ve taken a slightly lighter colour blue for the eyes, and added a touch of shimmer. A pale blue shadow can add a touch of colour without looking too overpowering on the eyes, and pairs nicely with neutral glossy lips. For a slightly less daring look, replace your usual black/brown liner, whether its a liquid or pencil, and use a dark blue. Urban Decay and Lancome do great options.

Start by using a good neutral toned eye primer, our favourite is the Vieve Eye Wand. Apply directly all over the lid and then buff out using a small fluffy brush like the MAC #219

Next is the blue! Loved by makeup artists all over the world, the Viseart palettes are our main go to. The pigment is incredible and the shadows are easily blendable, Use the #217 again to apply and gently buff into the crease. If there are any hard edges that you feel could do with more blending, do not worry! The best solution to this is to take a larger fluffy brush like the MAC #224, and then use your favourite bronzer to gently blend the edges, taking the bronzer up to the brow bone and out to the outer corner of the eyes, near the temples. This is a great trick that can be done with any eye look that you are creating.

If you want to keep the eyes bold, then just add mascara and individual lashes. Or to make the look slightly more feminine add a soft shimmer with your fingertips. MAC Reflects Pearl is a must have for fans of delicate shimmer.

If you just want a touch of blue, and don't want to apply the shadow all over the lid then choose a slightly lighter blue, and apply just in the inner corners of the eyes, and follow the above steps. Its essential that this blue isn't too dark as we don't want to make the eyes appear tired.
